sudha raghunathan at atomic energy
bhakta rasika ranjani sabha held their 30th anniversary celebrations and sudha raghnunathan was there to sing for this occasion. the location was the quaint outdoor auditorium (as seen in the picture) up in the hill at atomic energy junior college in anushaktinagar, bombay. about 700-800 people were there. we missed the last 20 minutes or so since we had to run for the transportation back but here's a setlist..

i think the highlight of the peformance was the chaturdasa ragamalika. the chaturdasa ragamalika has 14 ragams as the name indicates and they are: (sri, arabhi, gauri, nattai, goula, mohanam, sama, lalitha, bhairavam, saranga, shankarabharanam, kambhoji, devakriya and bhoopalam). sudha did a fascinating rendition weaving between the various ragams.. the RTP in shankarabharanam was good as well. everything else was so-so..maybe it was because of the outdoorness of the venue.
