kitchen sink clog - snakes, plungers and plumbers

yeah..i had the kitchen sink clog up, and i had to open it with a party coming up. tried a couple of liquids from the store, the promises they made about clearing it in minutes, they did squat. got the plunger and tried that for a bit, that too upto no good. and then bought what they call a snake, a metal spring helix kind of hard wire that is robust and basically that slithers inside the pipe where ever the pipe goes, the 'snakes' able to twist and turn along with it and remove any potential clogs. 25ft long is the what i got, i try, it goes, black smelly gunk falls, hella smelly, the clog still remains. i go pretty deep, i think i did but nope, i run the water through and it still clogs..

so i call a professional, and he uses a motor charged snake. he climbs the roof and goes from that end into the pipe. says he went 80ft in the pipes, he does unclog it eventually, and it costs be $350.

dont put any rice into your sink, he advises and says thats a most frequent thing for housesink cloggers with rice eaters in it. rice granules expand and easily clog the pipes. 350$..i am still stuck on the cost...
